Way to go California!

Am so tired (more about that later) so I won't write much but I just want to give two thumbs up to California and congratulate all the gay and lesbian couples who will now be able to get married in at least one more state. Also, kudos to the Republican state supreme court and the Republican Governor for supporting the rights of ALL it's citizens, at least in this matter. I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about and why same sex marriage is not allowed in every one of our 50 states. Any ideas? Though I bet I won't agree with your opinions. Tee hee (giddy with tiredness)

Since i am a liberal/moderate (actually i guess i'm a bit of everything depending on the issue)marrying into a conservative family, i can give you at least one of their arguments: it's the fact they are using the word "marriage". marriage is considered a holy, religious sacrement done under the eyes of God (captital G, there). to claim you are "married" when you have broken the rules of the Bible (marriage is between a man and woman only) is considered immoral. you cannot be "married" unless it is to the opposite gender. they actually seem to grumble less when the words "civil union" are used in its place.
so from what i gather, it's a semantics thing.
i am usually given the dirty look because i am the only one at family gatherings to speak up for gay rights (when the topic is brought up of course)because i clearly don't hold morality in as high regard and have been brainwashed by the liberal media into believing it's okay to be gay and therefore falling into the homosexual agenda.

The church allows divorce now, so moving with the times, lets allow gay marriage. And two thumbs up for speaking up for gay rights with creepy conservative family. And what on earth is the homosexual agenda anyway? Does anyone know?
