Right or Left Brain?

This has got to be one of the weirdest things I've seen all week. The woman below should be spinning (if not go here for original) in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. And the direction will change. But the direction AND change are entirely in your brain! If you watch it with someone else, you will find that you do not see the same thing as the other person.

Apparently, if you see her spinning more clockwise, then you are using the right side of your brain, and if anti clockwise the left side. Most people see more anti-clockwise, though mine gets often stuck on clockwise. Here is a list that I copied from the original website:

uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies

uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
risk taking

Another interesting thing is that it makes my right eye wicked tired. What do you see? What do you feel?

This is really cool. Jon showed this to me a few months ago but I don't remember hearing that which way it spins says something about your brain.

When I looked at it this time she was definitely going clockwise and I couldn't switch it. Then I covered my left eye- still clockwise. Then I covered my right eye and it was clockwise for a few seconds but then switched to counter-clockwise, then switched back, then went counter again. When I covered my left eye it went back to clockwise. Then I covered my right eye again and it went counter. With both eyes it goes clockwise.

We've discovered that if you focus on her standing foot it switches more easily.

I discovered the spinning lady several months ago. I showed it to my AP Chemistry class when we discussed electron spin. The electron spin quantum number is either +1/2 or -1/2, but they seem to change back and forth similar to the spin on the lady.

i am like you, i get stuck on the clockwise motion. what's funny is they also say if you are right-handed like me, you think with the left side of your brain and leftys think with the right, so left-handed people are the only ones in their right mind (heh heh...)

i was able to see the change in motion.
this tweaks my brain!!
